Let’s deliver a one-two punch to German cockroaches. They are world-class hide-and-seek champions, often requiring follow-up treatments. After performing your IPM program and completing your initial treatment, you should return approximately 10 to 14 days later for a follow-up treatment by applying insecticide dust, gel bait and glue boards, for example.
Apply insecticide dust into void spaces where cockroaches hide and thrive, but humans do not typically encounter. This provides a long-term treatment option, sometimes effective for as long as six months.
Gel bait draws out reluctant cockroaches and provides a secondary mode of effective treatment for up to one month. Gel baits should be applied in high-pressure, out-of-reach areas as determined by your initial IPM inspection.
Finally, glue boards provide ongoing measurement of pest pressure and the overall effectiveness of your IPM efforts.
