The National Pest Management Association (NPMA) revealed the first group of pest management professionals to earn the new NPMA PRO Certified credential. The NPMA PRO Certified credential, which launched in January, is administered by the Foundation for Professional Pest Management and endorsed by the NPMA.

The certification validates expertise across key areas including:

  • Safety protocols
  • Regulatory compliance
  • Customer service
  • Treatment methods

Ten professionals from across the United States and Canada successfully completed the certification requirements during the program’s inaugural quarter, January through March 2025.

“We’re excited to recognize this first group of NPMA PRO Certified professionals,” said Dominique Stumpf, CAE, CEO of NPMA. “This certification represents our industry’s commitment to excellence and provides pest management professionals with the opportunity to demonstrate their comprehensive expertise in protecting public health and property.”

The first recipients of NPMA PRO Certified include:

  • Allison Allen (Virginia)
  • Wayne Bazzle (Oregon)
  • David Flynn (Massachusetts)
  • Matthew Gibbons (Alberta, Canada)
  • Adam Hathcock (South Carolina)
  • Travis Helmstetler (Kansas)
  • Glen Ramsey (Georgia)
  • Vernon Randolphe (New Jersey)
  • Jason Rothamel (Pennsylvania)
  • Michael Wedding (Ohio)

To earn the NPMA PRO Certified credential, candidates must have at least one year of experience at a pest management company and pass a comprehensive examination. The certification is available to all qualified individuals, regardless of their company’s NPMA membership status.

“This new credential recognizes commitment to excellence and mastery of the latest techniques and industry best practices,” added Stumpf. “By becoming NPMA PRO Certified, these professionals demonstrate to employers, clients and the community that they are a cut above the rest.”
